You know the saying-the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. Zipper is the apple of Buttons' tree. He has her same sweet personality. At one day old he would stand by me to be petted and then get that dopey look in his eye when I scratched. If I stop he paws my leg until I scratch again. He crawls into my lap and relishes a good face rub.
Boots on the other hand is more independent...which is a nicer way of saying she doesn't give a hoot about me.

Is Notty his dad? He looks a lot like him eventhough he acts like Buttons. :)
No Notty is not his dad. Buttons came bred to the wonderful Poppy Patch Rebel Without a Cause. He has many Ch. daughters...no pressure Boots.
Zipper and Boots are the last Rebel kids to be born. I may just have to keep Zipper as a buck...time will tell but so far he is beautiful and his mother(Buttons) has a gorgeous udder. That is very important when picking a buck to use as a herdsire. If the dam doesn't have a great udder, don't keep any bucks from her.
I plan on keeping a buck from either Buttons or Cora Belle to keep Notty company. We will just have to see what Cora Belle comes up with.
