Hmmm - I live in WI and just read an article in the paper about a farmer with an egg route (people are liking the farm fresh eggs) so in the winter he leaves the lights on in the barn to "fool" the chickens into thinking it's summer and they then lay more eggs.
I wish he would have a route in my area. My egg lady had to give up her chickens :(
