I Told You Boots Were In This Year

Buttons had her babies today. All by herself. A doe and a buck.

I saw the doe first and this is what I saw......

So meet Boots.

And her brother Zipper.

Those wee'uns make me think I want my lady to let me have a baby! The little boy Zipper looks like our Nigel horse in a goat suit! Same squinky expression!

Just back to look at them one more time. :-) They really are so incredibly beautiful. How in the world are you going to go to work today? I'll bet you just want to position a lawn chair so you can watch them all day.

Are you sorry you missed the birth?

Ahhhhh. Say, Buttons and Zipper have that nice white swirl on the tops of their heads just like moi. How artful.

It is hard being at work today. They are even cuter this morning. I am sorry I missed it but since everything went well I can't complain. I am off for spring break next week so should be able to catch Cora Belle having her babies.
