Goatgirl has been sick. Very sick. Now I know why they want old people to get a flu shot. I am too old to feel this bad.
I thought a flu shot was for other people. Old people. Weak people.
My mom called and I said, "I'm sick."
She said,"Did you get your flu shot?"
"No, not yet"
"Well there you go,too late now," she says.
Hubby has been picking up the slack around here after his initial disappointment of getting home early on Friday to start the weekend of many projects. Oh I got off early on Friday too and breezed right by him on my way to my bed for the next 4 days. So he cleaned and cooked and went grocery shopping and also took care of all the animals...which can be quite an undertaking. And Hubby, God love him, sometimes doesn't notice things that need to be done. He's from the suburbs...what can I say.
So this morning, I crawled from my death bed to go feed the animals for the first time in 3 days. I was met by Alice's pitiful cry but that's nothing new, she always has a pitiful cry. Other than I don't think the poor cats were fed in a few days and Alice and Semi-Sweet's water was floating a few nanny-berries everyone was healthy and happy to see me.
Especially the cats.

Oh no! I'm sorry you were feeling under the weather. I hope you're feeling much better now.
I was wondering if you were under the weather, Wendy, what with your absence. Sweetie Pie's been sick all weekend through today. 102ยบ fever, etc. Must be going 'round the school big time. I was going to come over this next weekend, but maybe I'll wait.
You take real good care and don't push it too hard.
I am just getting over the influenza. I've been down a week. It is nice you have a husband whose trying to help out. Take it easy, the fatigue lasts a while.
Aw, sorry to hear you've been sick! A big hug to you and all the critters!
I am sorry that you have been ill! It's hard to be sick and have responsibilities too.
I loved your blogs about the animals! You have a great place!

Yutch.
May you rebound well and quickly.
Years ago I forgot one year to get the shot - of course, I got the flu. I have never forgotten since!
I am so glad you are feeling better.
Sounds like your hubby is a keeper!
I thought those flu shots were for old people until I heard the ages, they were talking about me!
Take care of yourself.
Pam
You see, it's like this. Peanuts keep you healthy. You should eat more Peanuts. They do a body good.
Arrgghh, I feel for you...nothing worse that having the flu and needing to care for critters!! I haven't got my flu shot either....keep wondering whether to do it or not....this may be the clincher. Hope you're back to your chipper self soon!!
Ack! This seems to be happening all over. Aaron is just now, a week later beginning to feel better.
Get well soon, and take care of yourself.
Stink! Two of my kids have H1N1, darn it all! It's awful, isn't it?
I can totally relate to the being sick and having to rely on others for stuff to get done. Been there, done that - too much this year! I am finally starting to get better, tho - hallelujah!
I'm always amazed at how much doesn't get done when the woman of the house isn't in top form. Telling, isn't it?! LOL!
I'm sorry you've been sick. This was my first visit to your blog and I really enjoyed it. I'll definitely be back. Take care and feel better.
