It Made The Children Laugh and Play To See A Lamb At School

I can say, now, that all those bottles were worth it when I saw the kindergarten class that I work in enjoy seeing the lambs come to school. They have been hearing about them for a few weeks so were so excited to see them in the classroom. Sure I gave them the lecture on being calm and quiet so the babies wouldn't get scared but they could hardly contain themselves when the lambs explored their room. Kids are so free to show their joy. They jumped and clapped. They wanted to hold them and touch them.

We fed them bottles, which the lambs were too excited to eat, but the kids didn't care. There were lambs at school!

And other than a little piddle on this girl's pants....

And a little poo on the tall boy's arm.....

A good time was had by all.

I wish someone had brought a petting zoo to my classroom when I was in kindergarten!

Awwwww. I wish someone had brought 'real' animals to my kindie school when I was a kid. All we had were fish and grouchy hamsters. lol!

The kids looked so happy. Good for you to share your little lambies.

That was sweet of you to bring them in for the kids. I brought ducklings into Leah's class a couple weeks ago.

Sally, Yes, don't worry they are coming back. Especially to your class.

Well now, I expect you'll have to be taking some goat kids to school sometime too. :) But, anyway, the goatmother says that picture of the girl with the glasses and pigtails is priceless!

Thanks for your kind words about my Tyner. I am sorry for your loss of Edwina. I really miss having her run to me. Your lambies are darling! The kids are lucky to see them. Keep writing!

I was just looking through your older posts and saw a Highland Cow? I love them. We got to go to Scotland for our 33rd anniversary & it was so awesome seeing them out on the moors & in the fields there. I tease my hubby that I am going to get me one of those when we move back to the west coast (along with the goats, rabbits, chickens, ducks, geese, etc.) lol

Elizabeth, the Scottish Highland cow is the neighbor's. She is much too big for my place but is a good subject for a picture.

BTW Marigold, I don't think I will be having any goat babies this year. You see my girls are on the mature side and are having a bit of "female problems" that even the honeymoon suite couldn't cure. But one can hope for a miracle.
