Field Trip

Auntie has arrived in town from Hyde Park, New York and the whole family gathered at The Farm for a little reunion. The Farm is my Hubby's brother and sister-in-law's farm near Mt. Rainer. They have lived on the farm for about 30 years where they have raised all sorts of two legged and four legged animals. It is a proper farm...and you know how much I want a proper farm.
In fact, Mt. Rainer looms large in the distant from their big backyard. Most days that is. Yesterday it was raining and this is all we got....

They even have a proper barn. This is a horse barn that just happens to have a gorgeous apartment that the cousins take turns living in. They too have a gorgeous view of the mountain.

But yesterday it looked like this......

I was able to take pictures with my new camera. It was able to take shots like this....

And this.......

And this.........

But I took this with a disposable...........

Ummm...is it just me, or are those lips a bit...um...'swollen'??

You took some awesome photos! And I'm loving that barn and 'proper farm'. But living that close to a volcano, albeit beautiful, would make me too nervous.

Twinville, we were in a candy store. Remember those big wax lips?
And of course a candy necklace. I still love those.
I know what you mean on the volcano thing. It would make me nervous too.

I have always dreamed of having the "proper" farm....enjoyed seeing pics of one. Wax lips and candy necklaces? What fun....didn't they used to be a nickel? Congrats on the new camera!

What a beautiful place! I love the apartment over the barn. Of course, I'd be the one insisting on living there if we had one of those. LOL
You've started out strong with your new camera. I love your choice of first subjects! :-)

Stopping by to say hello, and I enjoyed the pictures with the new camera.
I really love the color of the buck skin looking goat. very pretty. Those pictures of the mountain are cool, I can still make out thew mountain in the back, I bet its breath taking when its in full view. I would love to see some pictures of it some time and learn some unique facts about it.
See Ya,
Shanda
