The Fair Line Up

I can smell the fair already. Sawdust, animals, fried onions....and scones. We are busy getting ready to head to Puyallup next week for the Western Washington Fair. I will be taking 5 goats this year. I have only ever taken one goat and that is work enough. Getting 5 goats ready is a bit more challenging. For one thing, there is a lot of shaving involved. I'm glad they are miniatures.

Come by and see us at the fair. We are there the 13, 14, and 15th. Nigerians are showing on the morning of the 15th. I will put on my white pants, after Labor Day, and hunch my tall frame over some very short goats and attempt to walk around the ring with them.

I might even buy you a scone.

Hey Wendy,

I'm sure you'll win some ribbons. You get to bring them home again, don't you? I've heard stories that some animals have to be left behind.

They're all so pretty!

Oh yes they will come home again. I think what you are thinking about is the market animals. 4H kids raise animals and show them at the fair and then at the end they auction them off. I tell my goats on the car ride over, "Be quiet! I'm going to bring you home with me"
"I promise"

Make sure you clip Bliss's wings before you go. Or put an anchor on her so she won't fly away...

I'm going to ask special permission to keep Bliss in a crate when I'm not there. They don't need a goat on the roller coaster.
