Rooster!

When is a hen a rooster ? When it is a rooster. Where did he come from? We have a strict no rooster policy. I don't want my neighbors losing any sleep.

A hen has only one working ovary. When that one becomes diseased or injured, the hormones change and she will become a he. Sort of.

Ha! We have made the same interesting discovery at our house this week! So odd when our hens start crowing...

I have never heard that about hens turning into roos (kindof).
Interesting!

I have read that if you don't have a rooster, some hens will act like one.
