High Demand

After the recent recall, my eggs are solid gold. Everywhere I go someone asks if I have eggs. I need more hens. I can't keep up with the demand for farm fresh eggs.
I also need a few girls that take their job seriously. My hens are more pet than livestock so they take it easy now and then, secure in their place on the farm.

perhaps you need to encourage them gently, play soft music in the henhouse to get more eggs???

but don't hold your breath!

We too have had more requests than usual for our eggs.
Huh, who knew that small, local producers would have better quality and safer products than the mega factory production guys?
Oh wait! WE did. That is why we raise them in the first place! I am so happy to know the animals my food comes from. They doo great things for the garden soil too!
If the music doesn't work, try the bottle of BBQ sauce!

I could wish for your problem! Maybe if I had some chickens I would have it... ya think? LOL Soon, I will have some chickens.

Well, you know eggs aren't all their cracked up to be. Now if those chickens could lay Peanuts, now THAT would be something. :)

I must say those ladies look pretty confident that their retirement is secure even if they decide to start it tomorrow!

If I hadn't been bartering our extra eggs for a pottery still, we'd have made a nice chunk of change. ;-)

now, now, you know we ALL like to have fun at our jobs! I know I was sure glad that we have hens with that recall....course I stopped eating store bought eggs years ago. Now if I could just find everything we enjoy eating from local folks.
