Apple Harvest
Bring your children
Bring your spouse
come on over to Betty's house.
It's apple picking time.
Climb the ladder
reach up high
You can do it
aim for the sky
It's apple picking time!
Man the cider press,
roll the dough,
make those pies,
come on let's go.
Apple butter, apple sauce,
apple fritters
Oh my gosh!
It's apple picking time!
Grandkids running
all around,
footballs flying
'cross the ground.
Laughing, shouting,
new friendships sprouting.
It's apple picking time!
A toast is made
before saying goodbye.
Glasses of cider are raised to the sky,
"Bless everyone here with
good health and good cheer."
and...
It's apple picking time.

Beautiful! Looks like everyone had a fine time, too!
(This didn't come up on my "google reader", so I was surprised to see you had a new post when I visited tonight!)
Love it!
p.s. who's the Beverly Sills look-a-like? She's a ringer!
Gorgeous and what fun!
Mom is an awesome poetess. Do you think she could write one about Peanuts???
When mom said you wanted her to write a poem about the apple harvest I knew right away that I should watch for it here!
Love you, sis.
Julie
A great time was had by all. The poem is awesome...It sums up the whole day...Apples were good and huge...Great upside down cake, cobbler and pies...What more can I say...
